Target groups

This course will prepare the participant to take the Norwegian citizenship exam or the Norwegian social students test, but is suitable for anyone who would like to understand the Norwegian society and workplace better. 

Learning outcomes

Participants will gain insight into the Norwegian system, including work life, the healthcare system, the education system, the tax system, culture and social codes. There will also be time for practical questions.
 
The course uses Kompetanse Norge's online modules in between classes. Participants are expected to work with these modules as preparation for discussion in class. som pensum. Participants will be encouraged to compare Norway with their own countries and societies.

About the course holder
 
Clare Jortveit has lived and worked in Norway for 23 years and will share her shortcuts for a well-integrated live in Norway. Clare has worked at the University of Agder as an international coordinator and the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise as an advisor. She is currently the director of Aftenskolen and holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Journalism and a Master of Management.
