Our history

It all started with a vision to get the event economy of voluntary organizations in order.

Today, Checkin is a leading registration system for companies and organizations all over Norway, and soon we are going abroad!

2008

The company was founded by Kristian Løining, who worked as a volunteer and saw the need for a registration system. The vision is to make it easier to handle participant registration and the financials for event organisers.​

2012

Word started spreading about a good system and many new customers joined. Kristian quits teaching and starts full-time with Checkin.
Long days of software development on a garage loft and many new functions are added.

2016

An external chairman is engaged, and Professor Roy Mersland sees that Checkin has commercial potential.

2017

Sales and marketing manager Kjell Ingvar comes on board, and the company starts scaling up. Our growth made it possible to hire new employees for sales, support and development. More and more customers see the advantage of flexible forms and automatic invoicing.

2021

Skagerak Capital joins us on the ownership side and a total of approx. 15 MNOK is injected in capital that ensures further growth. We are approaching 20 employees and expanding past Norwegian boarders are added to the strategic plan!

2021

2022

A new event module and rebranding of Checkin is launched. Checkin positions itself as "The accountants choice"
